THE WILDLIFE TRUSTS (TWT)
There are 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the whole of the UK, the Isle of Man and Alderney. We are working for an environment rich in wildlife for everyone.
With 791,000 members, we are the largest UK voluntary organisation dedicated to conserving the full range of the UK’s habitats and species, whether they be in the countryside, in cities or at sea. 150,000 of our members belong to our junior branch, Wildlife Watch.
We manage 2,256 nature reserves covering more than 90,000 hectares; we stand up for wildlife; we inspire people about the natural world and we foster sustainable living.
All 47 Wildlife Trusts are members of the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) which also operates a separate Grants Unit administering major funds on behalf of the Big Lottery Fund and the Landfill Communities Fund.
The VISION of The Wildlife Trusts is
“an environment rich in wildlife for everyone”
The MISSION of The Wildlife Trusts is to
“rebuild biodiversity and engage people with their environment”

British Wildlife Centre

Discover Britain's Wonderful Wildlife!
See over forty different native wild animal species from tiny harvest mice to magnificent red deer...and everything in between.
Conservation through education
We were established in 1997 to educate visitors about native wildlife in the hope that they too will want to help protect and conserve it. We offer people the opportunity to see our native wildlife, help them understand more about wildlife behaviour and habitats and inspire them to find out more and contribute to its conservation.

The Countryside Alliance Foundation
The Countryside Alliance Foundation is a registered charity whose aims include educating the public in subjects relating to the conservation, protection and enjoyment of the countryside, supporting access and conservation projects and promoting agriculture for the public benefit. We are particularly passionate about introducing aspects of the countryside to the younger generations who may not have been fortunate enough to experience the great outdoors.
